Abstract
Differences in volume, cost, and time calculation between conventional methods and digital modeling often cause estimation deviations that affect accuracy andplanning effectiveness. This study compares the calculation result of volume, cost, and scheduling of structural works in the construction of the Outpatient Building at Dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital using conventional methods and Building Infrmation Modeling (BIM) with Autodesk Revit. The research used shop drawings, Bill of Quantity (BOQ), the 2023 PUPR Unit Price Analysis (AHSP), and the project's S-curve. The BIM method focused on 3D modeling with Revit to generate Quantity Take Off (QTO), calculate cost with contract unit prices, and determine duration directly based on model volumes. The result show significant differences: concrete volume of 754.11 m3for the conventional method and 682.80 m3 for the BIMmethod, with a difference of 9.46%, reinforcement of 5,939.407 kg and 6,207.388 kg with a difference of 8,370/0, and durations of 102 days and 80 days, showing an acceleration of 21,570/0. This study concludes that BIM with Autodesk Revit provides more accurate estimations, reduce cost, and shortens duration. Therefore, BIM is recommended to be appliedfrom the earlyplanningstage to improve estimation accuracy and minimize project deviations.
