Abstract

Transformator tenaga merupakan komponen vital dalam sistem tenaga listrik yang memerlukan proteksi handal untuk mencegah kerusakan akibat gangguan, baik internal maupun eksternal. Differential relay Micom P643 digunakan sebagai proteksi utama pada transformator di Gardu Induk Sukolilo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis respon relay terhadap gangguan eksternal, membandingkan perhitungan arus setting secara manual dengan setting eksisting, serta mengevaluasi respon relay melalui simulasi ETAP pada empat transformator yang ada. Metode penelitian meliputi pengumpulan data spesifikasi transformator dan setting relay, perhitungan manual arus differential dan arus penahan berdasarkan teori proteksi, serta simulasi gangguan eksternal menggunakan perangkat lunak ETAP. Analisis karakteristik kerja relay dilakukan dengan membandingkan kurva operasi, restraining current, serta titik kerja saat terjadi gangguan eksternal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Micom P643 mampu bekerja secara stabil dan selektif dalam menghadapi gangguan diluar zona proteksi maupun gangguan eksternal (di dalam zona proteksi), di mana relay tetap berada pada daerah penahan dan tidak memberikan perintah trip. Perbandingan perhitungan manual dengan setting eksisting menunjukkan konsistensi dan akurasi parameter proteksi. Simulasi ETAP pada empat transformator juga memperlihatkan bahwa besaran arus gangguan luar zona proteksi tidak melampaui batas operasi relay. Secara keseluruhan, differential relay Micom P643 telah terbukti memiliki performa yang andal dalam memproteksi transformator dari gangguan eksternal dan luar zona proteksi di Gardu Induk Sukolilo.
