Abstract

Meningkatnya penggunaan game online di kalangan remaja khususnya pada platform Roblox yang dilengkapi dengan sistem ekonomi virtual, berdampak pada meningkatnya peluang terjadinya kecenderungan impulsive buying. Keterlibatan yang berlebihan dalam bermain game online sering kali disertai dengan berbagai dampak psikologis yang dapat memengaruhi perilaku konsumtif remaja. Salah satu faktor psikologis yang diduga berperan dalam perilaku tersebut adalah kontrol diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kecanduan game online dan kontrol diri dengan kecenderungan impulsive buying pada remaja pengguna game Roblox di Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah 351 remaja pengguna game Roblox di Surabaya yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala kecanduan game online, skala kontrol diri, serta skala kecenderungan impulsive buying. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan game online memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan kecenderungan impulsive buying (β = 0,573; p < 0,000), yang berarti semakin tinggi tingkat kecanduan game online, semakin tinggi kecenderungan impulsive buying. Sebaliknya, kontrol diri tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dengan kecenderungan impulsive buying (β = 0,009; p < 0,581). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa kecanduan game online berperan secara langsung dalam meningkatkan kecenderungan impulsive buying, sementara kontrol diri belum terbukti berperan signifikan dalam menekan kecenderungan impulsive buying pada remaja pengguna game Roblox di Surabaya.
