Abstract

Fenomena fatherless dalam keluarga urban memunculkan tantangan psikologis dan relasional yang berdampak pada anak, khususnya anak perempuan Generasi Z. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana anak perempuan Gen Z di Kota Surabaya mengkontruksi makna kehilangan figur ayah melalui praktik komunikasi dalam keluarga fatherless, serta bagaimana pola komunikasi keluarga dan praktik komunikasi digital berperan dalam pembentukan resiliensi komunikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan paradigma interpretatif melalui metode fenomenologi. Partisipan terdiri atas lima anak perempuan Generasi Z yang berdomisili di Surabaya dan mengalami kondisi fatherless. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Analisis dilakukan secara fenomenologis dengan mengorganisasi data, melakukan pengodean dan pemaknaan pengalaman, lalu menyusun deskripsi untuk menemukan esensi pengalaman partisipan terkait resiliensi komunikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kehilangan figur ayah dimaknai sebagai ketiadaan yang bersifat multidimensi (fisik, emosional, dan sosial) dan memengaruhi proses penerimaan, perubahan konsep diri, serta negosiasi identitas. Resiliensi komunikasi terbentuk melalui kombinasi komunikasi intrapersonal (refleksi dan regulasi emosi), komunikasi interpersonal dalam keluarga (dukungan dan validasi, terutama dari ibu/figur pengganti), serta komunikasi digital (pencarian makna dan dukungan sosial) yang bersifat ambivalen karena juga dapat memicu disonansi emosional. Kesimpulan penelitian ini merumuskan model “spiral resiliensi komunikasi” yang menggambarkan proses resiliensi yang dinamisༀdapat berulang, dari fase disrupsi menuju rekonstruksi strategi komunikasi serta perluasan dukungan ke ruang digital.
