Abstract

Pasar Bangil, sebagai pusat ekonomi tertua di Kabupaten Pasuruan yang berdiri sejak tahun 1989, menghadapi degradasi fisik dan fungsional yang signifikan. Minimnya fasilitas sanitasi, buruknya sistem drainase yang menyebabkan banjir, serta ketidakteraturan zonasi dan pedagang kaki lima (PKL) telah menurunkan daya saing pasar ini di tengah arus modernisasi ritel. Penelitian perancangan ini bertujuan untuk meredesain Pasar Bangil menjadi pasar rakyat tipe A yang higienis, tertib, dan berkelanjutan tanpa menghilangkan aksesibilitas bagi masyarakat menengah ke bawah. Metode perancangan menggunakan pendekatan Arsitektur Neo Vernakular dengan konsep dasar "Kawitan" (kembali ke asal), yang mengintegrasikan nilai kearifan lokal ke dalam bentuk dan fungsi bangunan modern. Transformasi desain dilakukan melalui strategi pemecahan tapak menjadi tiga zona terpisah: Site 1 untuk perdagangan utama dan interaksi sosial, Site 2 untuk kantor pengelola dan fasilitas penunjang, serta Site 3 yang didedikasikan khusus untuk utilitas berat dan bongkar muat guna mengisolasi limbah dan kemacetan logistik. Hasil rancangan menghadirkan kompleks pasar yang responsif terhadap iklim tropis melalui penggunaan atap limasan modern dan secondary skin untuk ventilasi alami. Secara fungsional, penerapan split level dan zonasi mikro yang ketat antara area basah dan kering, didukung sistem pengolahan limbah (IPAL) terpusat, menjamin standar kebersihan yang tinggi. Redesain ini diharapkan tidak hanya memulihkan fungsi ekonomi pasar, tetapi juga mengembalikan identitas Pasar Bangil sebagai ruang interaksi sosial-budaya yang membanggakan bagi masyarakat Pasuruan.
