Abstract

Air minum merupakan kebutuhan mendasar yang harus memiliki kualitas baik agar aman dikonsumsi. Namun, berbagai studi dan temuan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian produk air minum dalam kemasan maupun isi ulang masih belum memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan dalam Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Republik Indonesia Nomor 2 Tahun 2023 mengenai Persyaratan Kualitas Air Minum. Permasalahan umum yang muncul adalah nilai pH yang berada di luar batas 6,5–8,5 serta tingkat kekeruhan yang melebihi ambang 5 NTU. Kondisi tersebut berpotensi menimbulkan dampak serius bagi kesehatan, mulai dari gangguan metabolisme hingga risiko penyakit akibat kontaminasi mikroorganisme maupun zat berbahaya. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini merancang sistem deteksi kualitas air minum dengan memanfaatkan sensor pH (PH-4502C) dan sensor turbidity (SEN-0175). Perangkat ini dikendalikan oleh mikrokontroler ESP32 dan dilengkapi dengan LCD 20x4 sebagai media tampilan hasil. Data sensor diproses secara kuantitatif sehingga dapat menampilkan nilai pH dan kekeruhan sekaligus memberikan klasifikasi kelayakan air sesuai standar kesehatan, yakni kategori layak atau tidak layak untuk diminum. Sistem yang dikembangkan diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu bagi masyarakat, pelaku usaha, maupun lembaga terkait dalam melakukan pengawasan kualitas air dengan cara yang lebih praktis, cepat, dan akurat. Selain itu, penelitian ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kesadaran publik mengenai pentingnya memastikan kualitas air yang dikonsumsi setiap hari.
