Abstract

Loader balance design and analysis are crucial aspects of heavy equipment design used in the construction and mining sectors. Loaders, which move materials, must be designed with technical factors such as lifting capacity, load distribution, and operational stability in mind. This design aims to analyze loader balance, focusing on parameters that affect equipment performance, such as bucket angle, center of gravity, and mass distribution. Furthermore, loader balance is crucial for preventing work accidents due to overloading or structural imbalance. During the design, simulations were conducted to assess loader stability under static conditions on flat terrain. The analysis used various loader boom angles of 60°, 80°, and 100°. The results of the analysis indicate that optimal design, taking static balance into account, can improve work efficiency and operational safety of the loader. Based on the analysis, the results of the moment calculation, center of gravity, and simulations safety Factor, Equivalent Stress, and Total Deformation) were obtained. For an angle of 60° is the safest condition, the center of gravity has not advanced too far. The loader is in a balanced condition. The influence of the loader boom angle is very large because when the boom angle is small, the horizontal projection increases the forward load causing the tipping moment to increase so that stability begins to decrease. When the boom is almost vertical, the tipping moment is very small so it is very stable. For boom angles that exceed 90 degrees, the moment is very large so it causes equilibrium to be disturbed.
