Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan meningkatkan kualitas produk seat cover jok mobil pada CV XYZ melalui identifikasi dan pengendalian berbagai jenis kecacatan yang muncul selama proses produksi. Permasalahan utama dalam produksi adalah tingginya jumlah defect yang meliputi cacat jahitan tidak rapi, jahitan melupas, serta sobekan atau melupas bahan, dengan total dua ratus empat belas cacat dalam periode Maret hingga Agustus. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi belum berjalan secara optimal dan membutuhkan evaluasi sistematis. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Seven Tools—meliputi check sheet, histogram, diagram pareto, diagram sebab-akibat (fishbone), scatter diagram, control chart, dan flowchart—untuk mengidentifikasi pola kecacatan, faktor penyebab, serta prioritas perbaikan yang diperlukan. Selain itu, sebagai upaya pengendalian berkelanjutan, penelitian ini juga menerapkan siklus PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) untuk memastikan rekomendasi perbaikan dapat diuji, dievaluasi, dan distandardisasi melalui penyusunan SOP baru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor manusia, metode, mesin, dan lingkungan memiliki kontribusi signifikan terhadap terjadinya cacat. Implementasi perbaikan melalui pelatihan operator, inspeksi mesin, perbaikan alur kerja, serta pengawasan kualitas terbukti mampu menurunkan tingkat kecacatan. Diharapkan penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam meningkatkan kualitas produk serta menjadi referensi bagi perusahaan dalam menerapkan pengendalian kualitas secara berkelanjutan.
