Abstract
Indonesian society is facing increasingly stressful conditions. Purchasing power continues to weaken, making it difficult for many to meet daily needs, ldkkone purchase items beyond basic necessities. Despite the general weakening of purchasing power, the Hot Wheels collector community remains active in making purchases, often impulsively. This study aims to determine the mediating role of self control in the relationship between self-identity and Impulsive Buying among Hot Wheels collectors in Indonesia. A total of 385 respondents participated in this study using a snowball sampling technique. The analysis found that self-control did not mediate the relationship between self-identity and Impulsive Buying (P = 0.261 (>0.05). However, self-identity can influence Impulsive Buying among Hot Wheels collectors in Indonesia (P = 0.001 (<0.05). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that self-control does not act as a mediator in the relationship between self-identity and Impulsive Buying behavior among Hot Wheels collectors in Indonesia. However, self-identity has been shown to have a direct influence on Impulsive Buying behavior, indicating that the stronger a person's self-identity, the greater the likelihood of Impulsive Buying behavior.
