Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas terapi pemaafan dalam mengurangi prokrastinasi akademik di kalangan siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP), serta untuk meneliti perbedaan efektivitas terapi tersebut berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimental dengan pendekatan pretest-posttest pada dua kelompok, yaitu siswa laki-laki dan perempuan. Intervensi terapi pemaafan dilakukan selama tiga sesi, dengan durasi maksimum 120 menit per sesi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terapi pemaafan secara signifikan mengurangi prokrastinasi akademik baik pada siswa laki-laki (t = 4.344; p = 0.012) maupun siswa perempuan (t = 9.487; p = 0.001). Rata-rata skor prokrastinasi pada siswa laki-laki menurun dari 61.20 menjadi 51.20, sedangkan pada siswa perempuan menurun dari 58.40 menjadi 55.40. Selain itu, ditemukan perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelompok dalam hal tingkat penurunan prokrastinasi (t = 3.012; p = 0.038), dengan dampak yang lebih besar pada siswa laki-laki. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa terapi pemaafan merupakan intervensi psikologis yang efektif dalam mengurangi prokrastinasi akademik, dengan efektivitas yang bervariasi berdasarkan gender.
