Abstract

Pengkajian tentang mikroorganisme dalam bidang kesehatan di Indonesia bertujuan untuk menganalisis kerangka hukum yang mengatur tentang penggunaan mikroorganisme dalam sektor kesehatan di Indonesia, studi ini mengevaluasi efektivitas pengaturan yang ada, termasuk dalam Undang-Undang No 17 Tahun 2023 tentang Kesehatan dan Undang-Undang No. 32 Tahun 2009 tentang Perlindungan dan Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup, serta pengaturan terhadap mikroorganisme dalam bidang kesehatan di Indonesia. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa mikroorganisme memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangannya di sektor lingkungan hidup, kefarmasiaan, pengendalian penyakit, dan industri kesehatan. namun juga menghadirkan tantangan yang membahayakan dan memiliki dampak kepada makhluk hidup. Regulasi terkait distribusi mikroorganisme, seperti Peraturan Presiden Nomor 1 Tahun 2021 tentang Pengelolaan Mikroorganisme memberikan kerangka biosekuriti yang penting, tetapi masih terdapat celah dalam pelaksanaannya. Pengkajian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan koordinasi antar lembaga, alokasi sumber daya yang memadai, dan penguatan insfrastuktur untuk mendukung pengelolaan mikroorganisme secara berkelanjutan dari generasi ke generasi yang akan datang.
