Abstract

Internship is an attempt to provide sufficient experience to students with direct learning in the workplace (experiential learning). During the internship students will get hard skills and soft skills. This study used a qualitative approach with research subjects as students participating in the MSIB program of MBKM, lecturers, education staff. The object of this research is an evaluation of the independent campus learning policy which focuses on the implementation process, constraints, and efforts of the MSIB program. The research, which took place at the Faculty of Public Health, Airlangga University, used interview, observation, and documentation data collection techniques. The results of the study: (1) Differences in perceptions of educational staff regarding the program. There are problems with the process of disbursing financial aid funds. The existence of partners who are incomplete in providing information is an obstacle for students in the partner selection process when registering for the internship program. There are student doubts related to the conversion process. There is more outreach to students, lecturers, educational staff. (2) Supporting factors: the information center is considered to be very helpful to students, educational staff who are informative and communicative, supervisors who provide input and directions during internships. Inhibiting Factors: the administrative process related to approval which is considered to still take a long time, the course conversion process. (3) Efforts made: forming a faculty MBKM team that assists in the socialization process to students and lecturers so that they have the same perception of the MSIB program of MBKM. In addition, it is important to create a course description so that it can be used as a reference for grade conversion.
