Abstract

A house is a basic human need that serves as a place to live and store valuable belongings. However, the high rate of crime, especially home burglary, raises concerns among the public. Data from EMP Pusiknas Bareskrim Polri in 2024 recorded 25,350 cases of home theft, highlighting the need for an effective and affordable security solution. The main problem addressed in this research is how to build a home security system that can detect and respond to threats in real time and is easily accessible. This study applies a system design based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using the ESP32 microcontroller as the central controller. PIR and flame sensors are used to detect motion and potential fires. Solenoid and magnetic door locks are implemented for automatic locking, while a buzzer serves as a warning alarm. The system is also integrated with ESP32-CAM to capture intruder photos and send image links to the Blynk application remotely. The proposed solution enables users to control and monitor home conditions via a smartphone. Implementation was carried out by testing each feature: motion detection, fire detection, alarm activation, automatic locking, and real-time image link delivery. The test results show that the system works well, is responsive, and is reliable in enhancing home security
