Abstract
Cocoa fruit is an agricultural commodity with a high selling value. Cocoa beans are the basic ingredient in making chocolate. The selling value of cocoa fruit depends on the quality of the cocoa fruit. Black Pod Disease, Helopeltis sp., and Pod Borer are pathogens that often attack cocoa plants, especially the pod, which results in a decrease in the quality of the cocoa fruit. Classification of cocoa fruit diseases is generally done manually, when the disease has reached a certain stage. The author considered this problem and decided to create a solution by creating a system that can classify diseases in cocoa fruit that can be used as an early detection tool for attacking diseases. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) with the NasNetMobile algorithm is the basis of the system mechanism created. System integration into Android-based mobile devices is intended to assist farmers in supporting mobility and efficiency in the process of classifying diseases in cocoa fruit images. The CNN model that has been built shows very good results with a training accuracy of 99.11%, validation accuracy of 96.14%, accuracy on test data during the training process of 94.88%, recall metrics, precision, f1-score of 94.90% each and accuracy on 30 test data using Android applications in the field of 93.33% with a recall metric evaluation of 98.50%.
