Abstract

Perkembangan industri yang pesat di Kabupaten Sidoarjo, dengan 1.203 sektor industri di 18 kecamatan yang mempekerjakan 164.650 pekerja pada tahun 2018, telah menyebabkan perluasan kota dan pertumbuhan populasi dari Surabaya. Hal ini menciptakan tantangan dalam memenuhi permintaan akan perumahan di dekat kawasan industri, terutama dengan keterbatasan lahan dan degradasi lingkungan. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, prinsip desain hemat energi dapat diterapkan pada hunian vertikal (Rusunawa) untuk kawasan industri di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif untuk mengeksplorasi konsep arsitektur bioklimatik dengan fokus pada orientasi bangunan, fasad, perencanaan tapak, ventilasi alami, material berkelanjutan, peneduh pasif, dan taman vertikal. Strategi-strategi ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi penggunaan energi sambil memastikan kenyamanan penghuni, beradaptasi dengan iklim Sidoarjo, dan mendukung kebutuhan pekerja industri akan lingkungan hidup yang sehat dan efisien.
