Abstract

Museum Arkeologi Trowulan di Kota Mojokerto memiliki peran penting dalam pelestarian dan penyajian sejarah budaya Kerajaan Majapahit yang pernah berjaya di wilayah tersebut. Namun, meskipun memiliki potensi yang besar, museum ini masih menghadapi tantangan dalam hal desain arsitektur yang kurang mampu mencerminkan identitas lokal dan konteks budaya yang kaya. Perancangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan konsep desain arsitektur museum dengan pendekatan Neo-Vernakular, yang menggabungkan elemen-elemen tradisional dan modern secara harmonis. Pendekatan ini dipilih untuk menciptakan bangunan yang tidak hanya responsif terhadap lingkungan fisik dan sosial Trowulan, tetapi juga memperkuat koneksi emosional antara pengunjung dan sejarah lokal. Dalam perancangan ini, dilakukan studi literatur mengenai arsitektur vernakular, kajian tentang sejarah Trowulan, serta analisis terhadap keberhasilan desain museum-museum arkeologi lainnya yang berbasis pada konteks lokal. Hasil perancangan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan Neo-Vernakular dapat menciptakan ruang yang lebih otentik dan relevan bagi pengunjung, dengan mengintegrasikan bahan-bahan lokal, bentuk-bentuk arsitektur tradisional, serta elemen desain yang mengedepankan keberlanjutan dan pemanfaatan teknologi terbaru.
