Abstract

Internet network services available at PT. Lintang Media Infotama requires stability and smoothness for its internet network. This need must be supported by appropriate improvements and analysis so that the internet service in the business can be maintained to improve the quality of existing services. The internet network located at the center and at customers who subscribe to the company must be able to meet standards that meet standards because the internet network center is very important for maintaining customer service and providing facilities for company employees to process the internet network for customers. Meanwhile, for customers, the internet network must be stable and smooth so that customers have confidence in the quality of service in terms of the internet network provided by PT. Lintang Media Infotama. This research aims to analyze the quality of network performance at the company center and among customers who subscribe to the company PT. Lintang Media Infotama and provide recommendations to improve the performance of the existing network to improve the quality of its services. This analysis was carried out using the Quality of Service method to determine network performance at the center and customers. For the network, it uses a Wireless Local Area Network as a network measurement medium and uses the Wireshark application to obtain measurement data which will later be calculated using Quality of Service parameters, namely throughput, Packet Loss, Delay and jitter. The results of this research show satisfactory and unsatisfactory results. For the company center and the first customer, second customer, third customer, fourth customer obtain satisfactory results. Based on the analysis of the results and calculations of the parameters of the Quality of Service method, it was concluded that the results obtained a value of 3.75 and had an index of 3, which means that the network in the Quality of Service category received Satisfactory results. Meanwhile, the results from the fifth customer were less than satisfactory. Based on the analysis of the results and calculations, it was concluded that the results obtained a value of 2.5 and had an index of 2, which means that the network in the Quality of Service category received Unsatisfactory results. So recommendations are given to companies, namely: Carrying out Network Infrastructure Improvements, Monitoring Internet Attenuation and Monitoring Internet Network Traffic. To improve the quality of service at the center of the company and customers.
