Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between work meaningfulness and emotional attachment with teacher resilience among PAUD teachers in Laren District, Lamongan Regency. The research method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. The population in this study was 171 active PAUD teachers, and the sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique based on certain criteria, such as a minimum of one year of service and an age range of 25–40 years. The data collection instrument used a 5-point Likert scale. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that work meaningfulness and emotional attachment simultaneously had a significant relationship with teacher resilience (F = 7.618; p = 0.001). The partial test showed that work meaningfulness had a positive and significant effect on teacher resilience (t = 77.154; p = 0.001), while emotional attachment also had a significant effect (t = 2.250; p = 0.040). These findings indicate that perceptions of work meaningfulness can strengthen teacher resilience, while excessive emotional attachment to work can hinder teacher resilience if not accompanied by good emotional regulation. This study enriches the understanding of psychosocial factors that influence teacher resilience of early childhood education teachers in facing work pressure, and emphasizes the importance of emotionally and meaningfully balanced professional development.
