Abstract
The most common vehicle in Indonesia is the motorcycle. To navigate through traffic congestion on the roads, motorcycles have become an alternative mode of transportation. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of changes in torque, power, and Fuel Consumption on the Honda Legenda 100cc engine. During the testing process, modifications were made to the number of valves and compression ratio. Data collection for each engine configuration was conducted at 6000, 8000, and 10000 RPM using 3rd gear. The results show differences in power and torque on the modified engine. The engine equipped with 4 valves experienced an increase in torque and power at every engine speed. This is due to a stronger flow of fuel and air compared to the standard setup, as well as differences in compression ratio.The combustion process in the combustion chamber becomes more intense, resulting in a stronger push on the piston and crankshaft, which in turn increases the power output. However, fuel consumption also becomes less efficient, as the intake ports for air and fuel is enlarged.
