Abstract

In the era of the information technology revolution, the hospitality and food industry, including the café business, has experienced positive impacts from technological integration. Specifically in the café business, information technology solutions are needed to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen cashier management, and provide a better customer experience. The Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method becomes the main focus in designing an innovative cashier system, with the implementation of information technology using PHP, MySQL, and the Laravel framework as the main foundation. In developing the café cashier application, the Simple Additive Weighting method offers significant benefits by assigning weights to criteria such as menu prices, types of drinks, cup sizes, and the use of toppings. The use of the Laravel framework provides additional advantages with an organized and modular structure, facilitating the management of the complexities of the café cashier application. The adoption of this information technology is expected to enhance efficiency, adaptability to market trends, and service quality to customers, allowing cafés to maximize their business potential in the digital era. For instance, Djoual Cafe, which still conducts sales transactions manually, can overcome errors, improve stock management, and expedite the reporting process by developing a cashier information system based on PHP, MySQL, and Laravel with the Simple Additive Weighting method.
