Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara work engagement dan prokrastinasi akademik dengan fatigue sebagai variabel moderator pada mahasiswa yang bekerja, serta untuk melihat secara khusus hubungan antara work engagement dengan prokrastinasi akademik, dan antara work engagement dengan fatigue. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa aktif yang bekerja, baik secara paruh waktu maupun penuh waktu, dan berdomisili di Surabaya. Jumlah partisipan ditentukan menggunakan aplikasi GPower 3.1 dengan parameter α = 0,01, power = 0,95, dan effect size = 0,15, sehingga diperoleh kebutuhan minimal sebanyak 200 partisipan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional, dan teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria yang telah ditentukan..Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fatigue berperan signifikan sebagai moderator dalam hubungan antara work engagement dan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa yang bekerja. Meskipun mahasiswa memiliki tingkat keterlibatan kerja yang tinggi, tingginya tingkat kelelahan dapat memperkuat kecenderungan menunda tugas akademik. Ini berarti bahwa fatigue dapat melemahkan atau bahkan membalikkan efek positif dari keterlibatan kerja terhadap perilaku akademik. Selain itu, fatigue secara langsung juga berkontribusi besar terhadap meningkatnya prokrastinasi, menandakan bahwa kelelahan menjadi faktor penghambat utama dalam manajemen waktu dan penyelesaian tugas akademik.
