Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of expansion valve diameter variations and evaporator fan air velocity on the characteristics and performance of a split-type air conditioning (AC) system using R-32 refrigerant. The experimental method was employed using four types of expansion devices (capillary tubes with diameters of 0.26 mm, 0.28 mm, 0.30 mm, and a Thermostatic Expansion Valve/TXV) and three levels of evaporator fan air velocities (2.4 m/s, 2.8 m/s, and 3.2 m/s).
