Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara maritim memiliki kekayaan biota laut yang tinggi salah satunya laut Jawa, Surabaya ialah salah satu kota yang sangat strategis dan memiliki peluang untuk mengembangkan pariwisata biota laut Jawa di Pulau Jawa. Hal itu di tunjukkan oleh beberapa acara/kegiatan tentang biota laut, salah satunya yang di selenggarakan oleh Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan yang sangat diminati oleh masyarakat. Selain itu, minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat akan biota laut, belum adanya infrastruktur wisata biota laut dan potensi ekonomi kelautan Surabaya belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal sebagai pendorong pembangunan kawasan pesisir (Bappenas, 2020). Menanggapi isu tersebut, Skripsi ini merancang sebuah pusat wisata biota laut Jawa dengan pendekatan arsitektur metafora yang mengangkat bentuk dan filosofi kima sebagai pendekatan bentuk bangunan. Kima dipilih karena kima menjadi salah satu ikon biota laut yang di konservasikan di Karimunjawa, serta bentuk cangkangnya yang artistik dan simbolis, sehingga dapat diterjemahkan ke dalam elemen tatanan massa, struktur, dan bentuk bangunan. Perancangan ini didukung oleh arah kebijakan dalam Rencana Induk Riset Nasional (RIRN 2017–2045) yang mendorong pengembangan inovatif sektor kelautan, serta RTRW Kota Surabaya 2014–2034 yang mengarahkan pemanfaatan ruang pesisir untuk kegiatan wisata berbasis bahari. Melalui perancangan ini, rancangan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana rekreasi tetapi diharapkan mampu menjadi wadah interaksi dan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai biota laut Jawa, sekaligus mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi kelautan dan wisata di Kota Surabaya. Dengan perencanaan yang matang perancangan oceanarium biota laut Jawa di Surabaya dengan pendekatan arsitektur metafora diharapkan mampu meningkatkan daya tarik wisata.
