Abstract

Air merupakan komponen penting di bumi yang sangat diperlukan oleh seluruh makhluk hidup, termasuk manusia, hewan, dan tumbuhan. Tanpa air, kehidupan tidak akan bisa berlangsung. Seiring dengan berjalannya waktu serta meningkatnya jumlah penduduk, kebutuhan akan air juga terus mengalami peningkatan, di mana pertumbuhan penduduk menjadi salah satu penyebab utamanya. jumlah penduduk di Kecamatan Ruteng mengalami kenaikan dalam lima tahun terakhir. Dengan tren pertumbuhan penduduk yang semakin berlanjut, dikhawatirkan ketersediaan air yang ada tidak mampu mencukupi kebutuhan air masyarakat yang terus bertambah. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memproyeksikan pertumbuhan penduduk, besarnya kebutuhan air, serta ketersediaan air yang ada, metode yang digunakan adalah metode geometrik dan aritmatik melalui perhitungan rata-rata. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan jumlah penduduk pada tahun 2028 dari 9 wilayah terlayani oleh PDAM sebesar 26.824 jiwa dengan kebutuhan air pada sektor domestik sebesar 27,94 L/det dan kebutuhan air pada sektor non domestik sebesar 1,32 L/det, total kebutuhan air pada tahun 2028 sebesar 35,11 L/det. Dengan jumlah ketersediaan yang ada pada tahun 2028 sebesar 0,7 L/det, terdapat defisit air sebesar 34,41 L/det. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan adanya ketidakseimbangan antara kebutuhan dan ketersedian air bersih yang berpotensi mempengaruhi kualitas hidup masyarakat.
