Abstract
Lamongan Regency in the 2024 had only 23 intergrated Temporary Waste Storage (TPS) facilities across 27 sub-district, on of which is Mantup Sub-district. Mantup currently has 7 TPS facilities, but they do not function optimally. This condition has led to waste accumulation in inappropriate areas, including even at TPS sites, due to poor waste management. Therefore, this study aims to determine the optimal locations for TPS facilities so they can function effectively in serving each area by using the Capacitated Maximum Covering Location Problem (CMCLP) model. Data collection in this study identified 72 waste source point based on residential areas in each hamlet, 21 TPS candidate points, a TPS capacity of 4.500 kg, an average household waste generation of 0,302 kg/day (based on sampling), and the distance from waste sources to TPS points. This data used to solve the mathematical model developed using the python programming language and processed via Google Colab. The data processing results determind 8 TPS locations with a service radius of 4 kilometers, covering 72 waste source point with a total collected waste volume of 13.464,71 kg/day. This study is expectaed to provide technical recommendation for district and village governments in planning the development of optimal TPS facilities to accomodate both the waste sources and their respective waste volumes.
