Abstract

Permasalahan kerusakan jalan di Indonesia masih menjadi isu penting dalam pembangunan infrastruktur karena dapat mengganggu kelancaran mobilitas, kenyamanan pengguna, serta berdampak pada keselamatan lalu lintas. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kualitas perkerasan jalan yang belum optimal dan peningkatan volume kendaraan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan inovasi material konstruksi yang ramah lingkungan dan ekonomis. Salah satu alternatif yang dikembangkan adalah pemanfaatan limbah minyak jelantah sebagai bahan substitusi dalam campuran aspal beton jenis AC-WC. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi limbah minyak jelantah terhadap karakteristik fisik aspal, nilai stabilitas berdasarkan parameter Marshall, serta kadar aspal optimum (KAO) dalam campuran perkerasan jalan. Metode penelitian mengacu pada Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga 2018 Revisi 2 dengan variasi kadar minyak jelantah sebesar 0,5%, 1%, dan 1,5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan minyak jelantah menurunkan berat jenis aspal dan meningkatkan nilai penetrasi, serta menurunkan titik nyala dan titik lembek, meskipun masih dalam batas spesifikasi. Dari uji Marshall, nilai stabilitas campuran meningkat dengan kadar minyak jelantah, di mana nilai tertinggi diperoleh pada kadar 1,5% sebesar 4479,6 kg. Selain itu, nilai KAO mengalami penurunan seiring bertambahnya kadar minyak jelantah, dari 6,16% menjadi 5,98%. Dengan demikian, limbah minyak jelantah dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan aditif alternatif yang mendukung konsep pembangunan berkelanjutan pada konstruksi jalan.
