Abstract

Permasalahan limbah industri genteng, khususnya limbah kerak tungku pembakaran yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal, menjadi latar belakang penelitian ini. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengevaluasi limbah tersebut sebagai bahan substitusi filler dalam campuran aspal beton lapis aus (Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course/AC-WC), sekaligus mendukung pengelolaan limbah yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membandingkan karakteristik Marshall dari campuran AC-WC yang menggunakan filler batu kapur dan limbah kerak tungku pembakaran genteng. Metode penelitian mencakup uji laboratorium terhadap agregat, filler, dan aspal PG70, serta pengujian Marshall terhadap campuran dengan variasi kadar aspal dari 4,5% hingga 6,5%. Substitusi filler limbah dilakukan dalam variasi 25%, 50%, 75%, dan 100%. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kadar aspal optimum (KAO) untuk batu kapur sebesar 5,75%, sementara campuran dengan filler limbah menunjukkan KAO sebesar 6,25% (untuk variasi substitusi 25% dan 50%), 6,0% (variasi substitusi 75%), dan 5,75% (varisasi substitusi 100%). Nilai stabilitas tertinggi tercapai pada substitusi 75% dengan stabilitas sebesar 1300,0 kg, sedangkan nilai terendah 966,7 kg pada kadar aspal 4,5%. Berdasarkan hasil uji Marshall, semua variasi campuran dengan limbah menunjukkan nilai flow dan Marshall Quotient (MQ) telah memenuhi standar Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga (Revisi 2) Tahun 2018. Oleh karena itu, limbah kerak tungku pembakaran genteng terbukti layak sebagai alternatif filler dalam campuran AC-WC. Selain berkontribusi terhadap performa mekanik campuran, penggunaan limbah ini juga mendukung pengurangan pencemaran lingkungan dan pemanfaatan sumber daya secara berkelanjutan.
