Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsekuensi hukum dari perubahan status Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM) sebagai kelompok teroris dalam konteks hukum pidana Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan normatif dan analisis dokumen, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi konsekuensi penetapan status teroris terhadap penegakan hukum dan kebijakan pemerintah di Papua. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penetapan status teroris tidak hanya mempengaruhi tindakan hukum yang dapat diambil terhadap OPM, tetapi juga berpotensi memperburuk situasi keamanan dan menghambat upaya dialog antara pemerintah dan kelompok separatis. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih holistik dan komprehensif dalam menangani isu terorisme, dengan mempertimbangkan aspek sosial, politik, dan budaya yang ada di Papua.
