Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “Representasi Sosok Hantu Perempuan Humanis (Analisis Semiotika Pada Film Komedi Horor Kang Mak from Pee Mak) 2024. Menganalisis persoalan representasi humanis dari sosok hantu perempuan dalam film Kang Mak from Pee Mak (2024). Dalam film ini, karakter Sari sebagai hantu perempuan tidak ditampilkan sebagai sosok menyeramkan seperti dalam tradisi horor Indonesia, melainkan sebagai figur penuh cinta, lekat dengan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Penelitian ini mengungkap isu representasi perempuan humanis melalui analisis semiotik Roland Barthes, dengan fokus pada hubungan antara Denotasi, Konotasi, dan Mitos yang membentuk citra Sari sebagai hantu yang hangat dan penyayang. Metode analisis semiotika yang meliputi visual, kostum, serta emosional tokoh utama, untuk menunjukkan bagaimana konstruksi hantu perempuan dari mitos horor yang pendendam menjadi simbol cinta dan pengorbanan. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa film tersebut menyajikan representasi hantu perempuan terhadap stereotip tradisional, menciptakan mitos baru tentang cinta abadi dan kasih sayang rumah tangga. Melalui pendekatan semiotik ini, ditunjukkan bahwa Kang Mak from Pee Mak (2024) berkontribusi dalam memperluas wacana horor lokal menjadi ruang ekspresi humanisme dan emosional.
