Abstract

Pertumbuhan industri alas kaki di Indonesia menyebabkan peningkatan limbah spons sandal berbahan Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan limbah EVA sebagai bahan tambah dalam campuran Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course (AC-WC) dengan aspal modifikasi PG 70. Pemanfaatan limbah EVA diharapkan dapat meningkatkan stabilitas, ketahanan, dan kinerja perkerasan jalan terhadap beban lalu lintas serta kondisi iklim yang beragam. Selain sebagai upaya pengurangan limbah industri, pendekatan ini mendukung konstruksi jalan yang lebih kuat, efisien, dan ramah lingkungan. Penelitian ini mengombinasikan aspal modifikasi PG 70 dengan limbah spons sandal EVA pada variasi kadar 0%, 2%, 4%, dan 6%. Kadar aspal yang digunakan terdiri dari 4,5%, 5,0%, 5,5%, 6,0%, dan 6,5%, dengan total 60 benda uji, masing-masing diuji 3 kali untuk setiap variasi limbah. Parameter pengujian meliputi Marshall, VMA, VIM, VFB, stabilitas, flow, Marshall Quotient (MQ), dan kadar aspal optimum (KAO). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa campuran memenuhi persyaratan Spesifikasi Umum Bina Marga 2018 revisi 2, termasuk titik nyala di atas 230 °C. Kombinasi terbaik diperoleh pada kadar limbah EVA 2% dan aspal 5,5%, dengan stabilitas 1235,6 kg dan flow 3,45 mm. Nilai KAO meningkat dari 5,8% (tanpa EVA) menjadi 6,0% (2% EVA), 6,3% (4% dan 6% EVA). Dengan demikian, limbah EVA layak digunakan dalam AC-WC sebagai solusi pengelolaan limbah yang berkelanjutan.
