Abstract

Di dunia otomotif, khususnya sepeda motor ada dua jenis transmisi yakni manual dan otomatis. Transmisi otomatis biasanya digunakan pada motor matik. Jenis transmisi ini menggunakan pulley dan belt disebut Continously Variable Transmission (CVT). Sistem transmisi ini tidak menggunakan roda gigi namun memanfaatkan pulley dan belt. Didalam CVT terdapat komponen pulley dan pegas CVT komponen ini berpengaruh terhadap kinerja mesin. Penggunaan bahan bakar juga berpengaruh terhdap performa yang dihasilkan oleh mesin. Pemilhan bahan bakar yang tepat akan menjadi acuan dalam proses pemeliharaan motor bakar diaman dunia ototmotif Indonesia sekarang sedang gencar-gencarnya melakukan kreasi dan inovasi. Pada penelitian tugas akhir ini yang ingin diketahui adalah torsi dan tenaga yang dihasilkan, serta kosumsi bahan bakar yang disebabkan oleh perubahan sudut kemiringan pulley dan perbedaan konstanta pegas CVT. Dilakukan 3 penelitian dengan 3 variasi kemringan pulley yaitu 15˚, 14,8˚, dan 14,7˚ masing-masing variasi pulley dilakukan dengan 3 variasi bahan bakar yaitu British Petrolium 92, Pertamax, dan Shell Super. Pegas CVT juga dilakukan penelitian dengan 3 variasi berbeda yaitu 800 RPM, 1000 RPM, dan 1500 RPM dengan setiap variasi pegas dilakukan 3 variasi bahan bakar yaitu British Petrolium 92, Pertamax, dan Shell Super. Dari hasil penelitian ini, dari setiap variasi kemiringan sudut pulley menghasilkan perbedaan daya dan torsi. Kemiringan sudut pulley yang memiliki performa terbaik ialah pulley 15˚ menggunakan bahan bakar Shell Super torsi yang dihasilkan 12,56 N.m dan menghasilkan daya 12,34 HP. Pada pegas CVT perbedaan konstanta pegas juga berpengaruh terhadap daya dan torsi. Pegas 1500 RPM menghasilkan performa yang terbaik dengan menggunakan bahan bakar Shell Super, torsi yang dihasilkann 12,68 N.m dan menghasilkan daya 12,42 HP. Hasil BSFC variasi sudut kemiringan pulley yang paling efisien pada pulley 15˚ dengan bahan bakar pertamax ketika RPM 7000 nilai yang diperoleh sebesar 2,106163 10-8 Kg/W, dan untuk nilai BSFC yang paling efisien pada pegas cvt adalah pegas 1500 RPM dengan bahan bakar Pertamax ketika RPM 7000 nilai yang di peroleh sebesar 2,083289 10-8 Kg/W.
