Abstract

In this study, the researcher used a fashion store in the Surabaya area as the object of research, precisely in the Royal Plaza Surabaya Mall, located on Jalan Ahmad Yani No. 16-18, Wonokromo, Surabaya, precisely on the UG/E3 7-7a floor. This study aims to examine the Influence of Lifestyle and Fashion Trends on Purchasing Decisions on My Style Fashion Products at Royal Plaza Surabaya. Human needs have experienced very diverse developments, making it difficult to distinguish between primary and secondary needs. One focus of this study is the need for clothing. The function of clothing is not only as a primary need but also develops into a secondary need to support a person's appearance. As one of the big cities in East Java, there has been significant growth in the fashion industry in Surabaya and has grown rapidly in recent years. With the increasing number of fashion stores emerging in Surabaya, competition between fashion industry business actors is getting tighter. The method used in this study is to use a quantitative approach with a research instrument tool, namely a questionnaire. The type of research used is associative. The population in this study used a sample of 96 respondents or My Style customers at Royal Plaza Surabaya using Google Form. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling and also uses convenience sampling technique. The data analysis technique used in this study is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test, and hypothesis test and assisted by using SPSS Version 25. Based on the results of the study, it shows that Lifestyle and Fashion Trends have a positive and significant effect on Purchasing Decisions on My Style fashion products at Rotal Plaza Surabaya both partially and simultaneously with a variable contribution of 75.4% and the remaining 24.6% is influenced by other factors such as Brand Image, Promotion, Content Marketing, and Live Shopping. Recommendations for further researchers can develop this research again by conducting research on the factors or variables that the researcher mentioned earlier and can use different samples and populations.
