Abstract

Jumlah wisatawan dunia yang meningkat sangat pesat, yaitu sekitar 200% hanya dalam 30 tahun terakhir dan di proyeksikan terns naik ditahun-tahun mendatang, menjadikannya sebagai salah satu industri paling besar dan paling pesat perkembangannya di dunia. Kota-kota di duniapun berlomba• lomba mengembangkan sektor pariwisata, termasuk kota Surabaya. Namun rencana tersebut bukan tanpa halangan, karena kota Surabaya minim akan potensi alam yang bisa dikembangkan sebagai daya tarik wisata. Sebaliknya, sebagai kota terbesar kedua di Indonesia, kota Surabaya memiliki potensi untuk mengembangkan pariwisata berkonsep perkotaan yaitu Urban Tourism atau pariwisata perkotaan. Pariwisata perkotaan memiliki 3 elemen yaitu, elemen primer, elemen sekunder dan elemen tambahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mengumpulkan data studi literatur pada konsep wisata perkotaan (urban tourism), dan dilakukan tahap deskriptif-kualitatif pada elemen• elemen arsitektur yang membentuk wisata perkotaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menentukan fasilitas-fasilitas wisata perkotaan (urban tourism) yang akan dirancang dengan hotel bintang lima untuk membentuk sebuah destinasi wisata perkotaan (urban tourism) yang komprehensif sesuai dengan tiga elemen pembentuknya. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah desain hotel bintang lima dengan elemen-elemen wisata perkotaan yaitu galeri seni sain, dek observasi, sentra kuliner dan elemen tambahan yaitu jembatan penyeberangan dan gedung parkir.
