Abstract

This very crucial presidential election often gives rise to several interesting social phenomena to study. One of them is the phenomenon of the emergence of buzzers. Buzzers themselves are accounts managed by individuals to influence public opinion on social media. This phenomenon emerged when the Dirty Vote film was first launched and created a communication network in the comments on the Youtube film. Based on data mining that has been carried out using the Social Network Analysis method, there are 7 largest communication networks. One of them is an account belonging to @hendrata007, which is known to have an outdegree network of 94. This means that the account spreads comments to many accounts to form 94 networks. The @hendrata007 account can be said to be a buzzer because there is no indication of an eigenvector or indegree to the account. Based on the existing data, the @hendrata007 account has indirectly applied the CMC (Computer Mediated Communication) theory. Where, communication occurs between the communicator and the communicant using technological media.
