Abstract

To achieve the welfare of society is a dream for all countries. However, the differences of GDP per capita, investment allocation uneven in some areas, and the human development index among the different regions will eventually lead to inequality and income disparities between regions. The purpose of this research was to demonstrate and analyse the influence of per capita GDP, investment, human development index, and the rate of open unemployment to distribution of income inequality in East Java province. This study is of quantitative research. The data used were in the form of time series and the period 2007-2017 (eleven years). The data is processed with an analysis of time series data using multiple linear regression models. The entire research influential variables simultaneously against inequality and income distribution. Per-capita GDP variable partially positive and significant effect against the inequalities of income distribution, investment and significant negative effect against inequality and the distribution of income, human development index effect positively and significantly to the inequality of income distribution, and the unemployment rate to a negative and significant effect openly against inequality and income distribution.
