Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konformitas teman sebaya dengan gaya hidup hedonisme serta seberapa pengaruh teman sebaya dalam menentukan gaya hidup pada siswa sekolah menengah atas. Penelitian ini merupakan tipe penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Responden penelitian ini merupakan siswa di SMA 2 Muhammadiyah Surabaya sebanyak 180 orang. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis product moment. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya korelasi antara konformitas teman sebaya dengan gaya hidup hedonisme Rxy sebesar 0,447. Terdapat hubungan positif antara konformitas teman sebaya dengan gaya hidup hedonisme dengan nilai signifikansi p = 0,000 (p < 0,05). Hal ini terjadi karena kelompok teman sebaya di sekitar dapat mempengaruhi pola gaya hidup hedonisme, Temuan dari penelitan ini menunjukkan bahwa konformitas teman sebaya sangat berpengaruh pada pembentukan kepribadian seseorang. Hasil dari hipotesis pada penelitian ini diterima yang artinya terdapat. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan acuan untuk meminimalisir pola gaya hidup hedonisme pada siswa guna untuk menggunakan uang sesuai dengan kebutuhannya.
