Abstract

Pembangunan suatu daerah merupakan suatu proses dan upaya yang dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan potensi lokal secara optimal. Penelitian ini menganalisis sektor ekonomi basis sebagai sektor unggulan menggunakan pendekatan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Location Quotient (LQ) dan Shift Share dengan menggunakan data skunder berupa Produk Domestik Regional Bruto (PDRB) yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Hasil dari analisis LQ menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa sektor yang menjadi sektor basis di Kabupaten Mojokerto antara lain sektor Industri Pengolahan; Informasi dan sektor Komunikasi; Jasa Perusahaan; sektor Administrasi Pemerintahan, Pertahanan dan Jaminan Sosial Wajib. Berdasarkan analisis shift-share perubahan komponen pada sektor ekonomi di Kabupaten Mojokerto adalah Sektor Industri Pengolahan karena memunyai nilai komponen perubahan bernilai positif di ketiga komponen yang artinya memiliki pertumbuhan ekonomi yang cepat, mempunyai daya saing, serta memiliki keunggulan komparatif sehingga memberikan kontribusi yang besar bagi perekonomian Kabupaten Mojokerto.Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemerintah Kabupaten Mojokerto dapat dapat mengoptimalkan dan menjadikan sektor industry pengolahan sebagai kekuatan dan daya saing pada bagi daerah-daerah lain di Indonesia.
