Abstract

Jalan Margomulyo Surabaya merupakan salah satu jalan yang ramai di Surabaya. Sering terjadi kemacetan lalu lintas di jalan Margomulyo Surabaya terutama pada jam-jam sibuk. Kemacetan lalu lintas di jalan Margomulyo Surabaya diakibatkan oleh aktifitas kendaraan yang keluar masuk pabrik dan pergudangan yang ada di sepanjang jalan Margomulyo Surabaya. Selain itu, kemacetan lalu lintas di jalan Margomulyo Surabaya juga diakibatkan banyaknya kendaraan dari jalan kalianak yang akan menuju jalan osowilangon atau sebaliknya yang menggunakan putar balik arah atau U-Turn. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan analisis untuk mengetahui pengaruh U-Turn terhadap kinerja ruas jalan Margomulyo Surabaya. Analisis data menggunakan metode MKJI tahun 1997, penelitian ini dilakukan selama seminggu di 3 titik U-Turn yang ada di jalan Margomulyo Surabaya. Berdasarkan hasil survei yang dilakukan data yang didapatkan adalah data volume lalu lintas, volume kendaraan yang melakukan U-Turn, dan waktu tempuh kendaraan yang melakukan U-Turn. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa volume lalu lintas kendaraan tertinggi di ruas jalan Margomulyo Surabaya arah Barat-Timur terjadi pada hari Selasa pukul 11.00 – 12.00 sebesar 9824,85 smp/jam. Sedangkan arah Timur-Barat terjadi pada hari Senin pukul 11.00 – 12.00 sebesar 7477,60 smp/jam. Volume kendaraan yang melakukan U-Turn tertinggi arah Barat-Timur terjadi di U-Turn Titik 1 pada hari Rabu pukul 16.00 – 17.00, dengan nilai sebesar 1372,60 smp/jam. Sedangkan arah Timur - Barat terjadi di U-Turn Titik 1 pada hari Rabu pukul 16.00 – 17.00, dengan nilai sebesar 1316,20 smp/jam. Waktu tempuh kendraan yang melakukan U-Turn tertinggi arah Barat-Timur terjadi di U-Turn Titik 1 pada hari Jum’at pukul 11.15 - 11.30, dengan nilai sebesar 37,23 /detik. Sedangkan arah Timur-Barat terjadi di U-Turn Titik 1 pada hari Senin pukul 07.45-08.00, dengan nilai sebesar 36,83 /detik. Rasio antrian kendaraan yang melakukan U-Turn tertinggi arah Barat-Timur terjadi di U-Turn Titik 1 pada hari Rabu pukul 16.00 - 17.00, dengan nilai sebesar 53,26. Sedangkan arah Timur-Barat di U-Turn Titik 1 pada hari Senin pukul 08.00 - 09.00, dengan nilai sebesar 47,56.
