Abstract

Mojokerto as a district that is the center of the economy of one of the regions in East Java, so that the high level of accessibility and needs to be supported by the provision of easy, cheap and fast transportation. With the high need for transportation, the need for roads and infrastructure will continuously increase, one of the important things in the construction of road infrastructure is a retaining wall that is able to withstand the load around it. This study uses the Value Engineering method by analyzing the main components based on the Pareto distribution principle to optimize project costs and performance.. This study uses secondary data in the form of location topography data and triaxial soil test data. The results of the author's application of Value Engineering are: (1) 1. The application of Value Engineering alternative 1 in the construction of retaining walls on the Bendung - Bantengan road section, Mojokerto Regency, East Java Province, is because in terms of project implementation value, alternative 1 is much cheaper than alternative 2 and alternative 3. (2) The application of Value Engineering affects the amount of costs by Rp. 284,244,698.00 by streamlining the dimensions of the Planning Consultant DPT. (3) The application of Value Engineering does not significantly affect the completion time because the planned time schedule in the planning document is already too loose, the implementation time is set at 6 months, whereas in the author's analysis only 121 days or less than 5 months are needed..
