Abstract

A factory is established to drive the economy and create new job opportunities in the surrounding area. This research is conducted due to a delay in the construction of the lightweight brick factory project in Lamongan, which was scheduled to be completed by the 16th week with a contract value of IDR 1,835,474,186. As of the 10th week, the estimate to complete (ETC) was IDR 1,794,592,992, and the cost performance index (CPI) was 0.69, indicating that the project's actual costs were higher than the budgeted costs. The schedule performance index (SPI) in week 10 was 0.37, indicating a delay in the project.The time estimate (TE) for project completion is 27 weeks, with an estimated at complete (EAC) cost of IDR 2,384,207,509. Acceleration using the crashing method, which includes increasing the workforce by 50% on tasks such as top caps & kitchen tables, wall work, ceiling work, and floor & wall finishing, as well as 3 hours of overtime on floor & wall finishing, will reduce the estimated duration from 189 days to 106 days. The total cost for crashing is IDR 2,532,471,068, which means an additional cost of IDR 148,263,559 compared to the estimated project completion cost of IDR 2,384,207,509.
