Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of environmental performance, corporate governance, and company size on financial performance, considering corporate reputation as a moderating variable. The study focuses on banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2019-2023 period. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from financial reports and sustainability reports. The environmental performance variable is measured using the PROPER indicators and GRI Standards for environmental disclosure, while corporate governance is assessed through the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), and company size is determined by total assets and total revenue. Financial performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE). Corporate reputation is evaluated based on customer satisfaction, service quality, and employee satisfaction. The data analysis method used is path analysis with SMART-PLS 4 software. The results show that environmental performance, corporate governance, and company size have a significant and positive influence on financial performance. Furthermore, corporate reputation is proven to weaken the relationship between environmental performance and financial performance. Simultaneously, environmental performance, corporate governance, and company size collectively influence financial performance. This research provides an important contribution to the literature on sustainability, corporate governance, and the impact of company size in the banking sector. The practical implications of these findings suggest that banking companies need to improve environmental performance, corporate governance, and consider their company size to achieve optimal financial performance while maintaining corporate reputation as a strategic asset in facing competition.
