Abstract

This research examines public satisfaction with the quality of service and safety of the Suroboyo Bus as public transportation in the city of Surabaya. Public transportation plays an important role in economic development and urban mobility, however data shows low levels of Suroboyo Bus usage compared to public transportation in other cities. Even though it has been operating since 2018 and recorded more than 3 million users as of 2021, the average daily Suroboyo Bus passenger is only 2,728 people. This research aims to identify factors that influence the public's low interest in using the Suroboyo Bus, as well as analyzing public satisfaction with service quality and safety. It is hoped that the research results can provide input for formulating solutions to increase the use of public transportation and support sustainable mobility in the city of Surabaya. This study used quantitative research methods with a sample of 63 people.
