Abstract

Roads are vital infrastructure that support economic growth and community mobility, making effective road maintenance and preservation essential. The Provincial/Kabupaten Road Management System (PKRMS) functions to monitor road conditions periodically by collecting data such as roughness, physical damage, and road deformation. This system provides a comprehensive overview to determine the type of maintenance required. However, due to budget constraints, a structured approach such as the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is needed to prioritize road sections requiring urgent maintenance based on various criteria, such as road condition, traffic volume, and socioeconomic impact. The combination of PKRMS and AHP is expected to improve resource allocation efficiency while ensuring transparency and accountability in decision-making. This study aims to analyze road preservation using PKRMS surveys and the AHP method on Jalan Cokroaminoto, Bojonegoro Regency. Data collection through the PKRMS system revealed that 79% of the road segments are in good condition, while 21% are in fair condition. Through the AHP method, eight priority criteria were identified: road user safety and comfort, road damage level, construction method, construction costs, ease of implementation, duration of work, daily traffic volume, and climatic conditions. The analysis results indicate that road user safety and comfort is the top priority factor, followed by the level of road damage and the construction method. The prioritized treatment alternative is Micro Surfacing, which is proven to be efficient in reducing road damage while minimizing maintenance costs. This study not only provides better decision-making guidelines for road maintenance but also recommends the application of the AHP method in road management in other regions for more effective and sustainable results.
