Abstract

Effective and efficient public transportation services are crucial in creating a sustainable transportation system. However, suboptimal services can erode public trust and encourage the use of private vehicles, ultimately leading to increased traffic congestion and pollution. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the Mojokerto-Batu and Trans Jatim Corridor 3 public transportation services and assess the integration between these two routes to create a more seamless, convenient, and efficient service for the public. This study employs a quantitative descriptive method, using primary data collected through field surveys and secondary data from relevant institutions. The analyzed parameters include headway, waiting time, load factor, vehicle frequency, travel time, and average speed. The study aims to identify the operational performance of the two routes, assess service integration, and determine an integrated fare system that enhances efficiency and user satisfaction. The analysis reveals that the performance of the Mojokerto-Batu route falls below standards in several parameters, such as a headway of 1 hour 46 minutes 12 seconds, an average waiting time of 53 minutes 6 seconds, and a vehicle frequency of 0.565 vehicles/hour. In contrast, Trans Jatim Corridor 3 performs better, with a headway of 14 minutes 48 seconds, an average waiting time of 7 minutes 24 seconds, and a load factor of 64.78%. Service integration highlights non-synchronized fare and departure schedules, resulting in a passenger waiting time of up to 2 hours 50 minutes. An integrated fare of Rp 47,000 is proposed to support efficiency and operational sustainability. This study is expected to serve as a reference for developing more integrated and environmentally friendly public transportation services.
