Abstract

Project delays were caused by inadequate control, which affected costs and completion time. This study aims to predict project costs during implementation and assess the effectiveness of project control using the Earned Value Method. In terms of time, the project experienced delays in weeks 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, 13, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, and 24, as indicated by a negative Schedule Variance (SV). Conversely, in weeks 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, and 19, implementation was ahead of schedule, with a positive SV. Regarding costs, the project incurred higher-than planned expenses in weeks 6, 9, 11, 13, 17, 19, 22, and 23, as shown by a negative Cost Variance (CV). However, in weeks 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 21, and 24, expenses were lower than planned, with a positive CV. The results indicate an effectiveness value of 1.603, demonstrating that project control for the Bagor bridge construction in Situbondo is highly effective using the Earned Value Method.
