Abstract

Siswi boarding school sangat rentan mengalami stres yang disebabkan oleh sistem pendidikan di sekolah berasrama yang berlangsung hingga 24 jam dengan aturan-aturan yang ketat. Dengan begitu tidak jarang siswi mengaku lelah dengan aktivitas serta tugas lainnya yang harus diselesaikan. Hal-hal yang terdapat di sekolah berasrama ini yang menjadi sumber tekanan atau stressor yang membuat siswi mengalami stres. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji efektivitas art journal untuk menurunkan stres pada siswi Boarding School. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian quasi eksperimental. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu siswi kelas 12 Special Class SMA Budi Utomo Jombang sebanyak 23 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis data statistik parametrik Independent Sample T Test menunjukkan hasil skor t = 11,856 dengan signifikansi = 0,000 (p < 0.05). Artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap tingkat stres pada kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Kemudian, melalui hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan Paired Sample T Test diperoleh skor t = 4,641 dengan signifikansi = 0,001 (p<0,05). Artinya ada perbedaan yang signifikan pada penurunan tingkat stres kelompok eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi. Melalui art journal siswi dapat menerjemahkan pikiran, perasaan dan emosi mereka ke dalam bentuk visual dengan lebih efektif, serta dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan emosional dan psikologis, sehingga dapat membantu mengelola stres. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terapi art journal efektif untuk menurunkan stres pada siswi Boarding School.
