Abstract

Penyesuaian akademik merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam keberhasilan mahasiswa, terutama di lingkungan pendidikan pondok pesantren yang memiliki aturan khusus. pondok pesantren merupakan lembaga pendidikan dengan sistem asrama di mana santri tidak hanya mempelajari tentang pendidikan agama namun mereka juga menempuh pendidikan formal. tentunya didalam asrama memiliki aturan khusus seperti terbatasnya penggunaan alat komunikasi dan internet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self efficacy dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya terhadap academic adjustment mahasiswa pondok pesantren Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Sukorejo Situbondo. Penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan sumbangan pemikiran dalam perkembangan ilmu psikologi pendidikan, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 150 mahasiswa semester 1 – 7 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik random sampling. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis uji koefisien determinasi, uji simultan, uji parsial dan analisis regresi berganda. Variabel self efficacy dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya memberikan pengaruh dengan R square sebesar 54.2% terhadap academic adjustment. Secara uji parsial, terdapat hubungan sangat signifikan antara self efficacy dengan academic adjustment dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 (p>0.01) dan dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan academic adjustment dengan nilai signifikansi 0.000 (p>0.01) artinya terdapat hubungan sangat signifikan antara dukungan sosial teman sebaya dengan academic adjustment pada mahasiswa di pondok pesantren.
