Abstract

The Kedungpeluk Bridge in Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency, is a bridge that was built around 1984 or is an old bridge and then in 2024 the bridge collapsed. Before experiencing the collapse, the Sidoarjo Regency PUBMSDA Service had carried out initial design planning using a prestressed concrete beam bridge which then underwent a design change to become the Box Culvert bridge. Based on these design changes, the researcher tried to analyze what emerged in terms of costs and implementation time. Analysis was carried out by collecting secondary data, including project drawings, budget plans, S curves, implementation progress reports, previous research sources, material price and wage sources, literacy sources and related secondary data sources. Then the available data is analyzed to produce the research objectives that were planned at the beginning. The results of the analysis on the two types of bridges were compared from the cost and time aspects. From the results of the analysis obtained, among other things, in terms of design costs, the Box Culvert is more efficient at Rp. 472,181,650.67 or 24.69%. In terms of time for carrying out structural work, the Box Culvert is more efficient because it takes 10 weeks while the prestressed concrete beam design takes 14 weeks, 28.57% faster.
