Abstract

This study reveals that the current Drainage infrastructure is inadequate, often causing waterlogging during rainfall, which emphasizes the need for urgent improvements. The performance of the Drainage system was rated at a “Good” level with a functional capability of about 80.56%, indicating that although the system manages water effectively in many areas, some components require immediate improvement to maintain overall efficiency. From a financial perspective, the study estimated the operational cost required for optimal functioning at IDR 262,300,000, with a total maintenance budget of IDR 1,056,970,651 required. This investment is critical to ensure the long-term capacity and reliability of the Drainage infrastructure.. This thesis proposes regular inspections and timely interventions as part of an effective Drainage management strategy to reduce flooding incidents and improve quality of life in Samarinda. The anticipated results aim to provide valuable insights in maintaining efficient urban Drainage operations through better civil engineering practices.
