Abstract

Construction in Region III of the National Roads of East Java Province has progressed rapidly. Performance of labor is the most important factor that can determine the success or failure of a project. According to several reports directly from the Site Engineer Supervision Consultant who oversees the III area of ​​the National road segment that the performance of construction workers in this case the builders greatly affect the quality of the project. This research method uses Multiple Linear Regression with the help of the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) version 21 program. Using static methods by gathering opinions, experiences and attitudes of respondents on the problems that exist, by taking primary data through questionnaires and secondary data from institutions (1) Find out whether the factors of labor performance can affect the quality of construction projects, (2) The most dominant variable that influences the construction project. The results of the analysis show that the variables of age and motivation have no significant effect on the quality of construction projects. The variables of work skills, work experience, work discipline, and education have a significant influence on the quality of construction projects. Thus, it can be concluded that education, work experience, work discipline, and work skills play an important role in improving the quality of construction projects, while age and work motivation do not play a significant role. While from the regression analysis results, the work skills variable stands out as the most dominant variable with the highest beta coefficient value of 0.395 and a calculated t value of 3.893. This shows that work skills have a significant influence in improving the quality of construction projects. Thus, the improvement of work skills can be considered as the main focus to effectively improve the quality of construction projects.
